Better than the traditional with metal clasps the velcro does not dig into the klaf and potentially hurt the Sefer Torah.
Please note the Torah Belts do not have elastic in them. Please take this into consideration when selecting the size you need.
The standard option you see is what you would choose for an average-size Torah. It will vary in its finished length between 27.5 and 29 inches long. The 25 inches and 31 inches long will be the exact length you choose.
